IBGE now presents new physical maps, available in digital format, of six Brazilian states: Alagoas, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pará, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe. This release consists of a cartographic update, with some necessary changes and addition of information, mainly relative to terrain, hydrography and geographic names.

The maps are available on the IBGE web site, at ftp://geoftp.ibge.gov.br/cartas_e_mapas/mapas_estaduais_e_distrito_federal/fisico/.

These maps belong to the IBGE State Maps Series: Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rondônia, Roraima, Santa Catarina, São Paulo and Tocantins.
