IBGE releases today (8/26/2010) the 18^th volume of Brazil in Figures.

The publication, in a bilingual version, presents, by means of tables and graphs, data on the national territory; demographic and socioeconomic characteristics; prices, national accounts; aspects of agricultural, industrial and commercial activities, services, finances, foreign trade, science and technology; and basic Government statistics, including data comparing Brazil and other countries. Brazil in Figures integrates information that synthesizes the multiple aspects of Brazilian reality, becoming an invaluable instrument for consultation.

This volume, illustrated with photographs of works of art from the Pinacotheca of the State of Amazonas, highlights data from the National Household Sample Survey 2008, the Monthly Survey of Industry 2008-2009, the National System of Consumer Price Indexes: INPC-IPCA 2008, the National System of Costs Survey and Indexes of Construction 2008, the Annual Survey of Trade 2007, the Regional Accounts of Brazil 2007 and the System of National Accounts 2006-2008. Each theme is enriched with comments by specialists and researchers.
