IBGE participates in XXVII Brazilian Meeting on Econometrics

IBGE will take part, from December 7 to 9, in the XXVII Brazilian Meeting on Econometrics, at Pirâmide Hotel, in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The institution was invited by ANPEC - National Association of Centers for Post-Graduation on Economics.

The President of IBGE, Eduardo Pererira Nunes and the director of the Survey Department, Wasmália Socorro Bivar, will deliver a lecture on December 7th, at 10:30 am, in room Ponta Negra 1. The content of the lecture refers mainly to the new work methodology of IBGE, especially concerning alternatives to the demographic census and the integration of the household surveys and price statistics. On the 8th, also at 10:30 am, in room Manaíra, the Coordinator of National Accounts of IBGE, Roberto Olinto, and a member of the same department, Fernando Ferrari Filho will talk about the new methodology for the calculation of GDP.

IBGE will display some of its main projects on a stand at the hotel.
