On November 26^th, a technical cooperation mission of IBGE - Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - traveled to INEC - National Bureau of Statistics and Censuses of Guinea-Bissau. Among the scheduled activities, stands out the revision of the planning of the census which will occur in the country in 2007. Also stands out the support in the areas of cartography, digitalization of cartographic maps, formation of census personnel, processing, analysis and data publication. The mission will organize a diagnosis and recommendations of the several studied areas.

The activity, developed in the Sub-Program of Cooperation South-South ABC/FNUAP, will comply with a request made by the authorities of that Country during the Brazilian mission to Guiné-Bissau, in October of the current year. The delegation of IBGE, researchers Dulce Santoro Mendes, Luis Carlos de Souza Oliveira, and Eneiza de Andrade Ferreira will remain in the country until December 16^th.
