Published the second edition of the Basic Vocabulary of Natural Resources and Environment

The Basic Vocabulary of Natural Resources and Environment explains several terms used in Agronomy, Astronomy, Biology, Botanic, Cartography, Climatology, Crystallography, Ecology, Forestry Engineering, Physics, Phytogeography, Geology, Geomorphology and Silviculture. Its first edition, containing around 2,500 entries and published in 2002, presented a wide spectrum of technical terms related to environment, mainly those of more common use.

This second edition results from a deep revision, where some terms were redefined and adjusted to more recent scientific concepts. Also, more than 300 new entries were included, enlarging the Basic Vocabulary of Natural Resources and Environment, which will be available in the bookstores of the IBGE in January of the next year.
