Considering the retraction of the services activities, the segment of Information technology services has been continually growing since April 2016 in the seasonally-unadjusted series, which highlighted how dynamic this segment is, generating services of high value added. This was because companies have been resuming the hiring of information technology services to meet their strategic needs, aiming at maintaining their levels of competitiveness and productivity. The high demand for non-customizable programs was contributing to this growth, particularly in the production of games and computer animation for the audiovisual segment.
In the seasonally-unadjusted series, the contribution of the segments to the overall rate of volume were: Transportation, support activities for transportation and mailing (-4.3 p.p.); Information and communication services (-1.6 p.p.); Professional, administrative and complementary services (-1.1 p.p.); Services rendered to families (-0.4 p.p.) and Other services (-0.2 p.p.).
