Released today (15), at 9 am, the IBGE Schedule brings the Institute's activities for this week. This current edition covers the 15th to 21st of April and brings the releases, internal and external meetings, actions and appointments of the IBGE Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

On Monday (15th), at 2 pm, the Presidency will participate in the 31st Meeting of the South American Regional Integration Subcommittee. On Tuesday (16th), at 9 am, the Presidency takes part in the preparatory Free Conference for the 5th National Conference on ST&I - Extended Industrial Production :Technology and Innovation, effects, limits and perspectives.

Also on Tuesday, at 2:30 pm, the internal planning meeting of the National Conference of Producers and Users of Statistical, Geographic and Environmental Information will take place. And at 7 pm, the Presidency will participate, online, in the 7th Meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin American and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, to address the theme “SDG 18 - Ethnic-Racial Equality in the 2030 Agenda: the Brazilian experience for the construction of a new SDG”.

On Wednesday (17th), at 9 am, the Monthly online meeting of the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDG) will take place.

On Thursday (18th), at 9 am, the Presidency will participate in the videoconference of the Technical Committee of the Reference Centers in Africa Project. At 12 pm, there is a national trip the 86th General Meeting of the National Front of Mayors (FNP), where the IBGE participates in the Panel: “IBGE Actions for the municipalities”.

And, on Friday (19th), at 2pm, there will be a national trip to the Ceremony to formalize the Technical Cooperation Agreement between the IBGE and the Regional Labor Court (TRT 15th Region).

IBGE Directorates and Advisories

On the 15th, Monday, at 10 am, at the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), the Workshop on climate change indicators will take place. At 4:30 pm, the team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in a meeting to organize the IV Brazilian Symposium on Spatial Data Infrastructure (SBIDE IV). And, at 7:30 pm, members of DGC will give a presentation on Geodesy Products and Services for Precision Georeferencing.

On Tuesday (16th), the team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in a meeting of the Coordination of National Accounts  (CONAC) with the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC) and with the Department of Registration and Classifications (COCAD), to present the New International Classification of Economic Activities. On the same day, the meeting of the Blue GDP Working Group takes place on the methodology for calculating tourism.

Also in the Directorate of Surveys (DPE), on Tuesday, at 4 pm, there will be a technical meeting on BRICS – Russia. And, at 8 am, the Technical-Scientific Seminar on the Causes and Consequences of Deforestation and Fires in the Caatinga Biome begins. At 2 pm, the team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in a monthly meeting with the Brazil's National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (CEMADEN) .

On Wednesday (17th), at 8 am, the team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will travel abroad to Columbus, capital of the US state of Ohio, to participate in the annual event of the Population Association of America (PAA 2024), conference of demographers and social and health scientists from the United States and abroad. And, at 9 am, the team gives a lecture at the ""Cultura em Salvador"(Culture in Salvador) event.

On Friday (19th), at 10 am, at the Social Communication Coordination (CCS) the online press conference of the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (Continuous PNAD): Income from all sources (2023) will take place. At 1 pm, at the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), the HUB Webinar begins, to correct bias in the estimation of COVID-19 cases in Brazil. And, at 6 pm, the team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in an online meeting of the expanded Bureau of the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names (UNGEGN) with the presidencies of the UNGEGN's linguistic-regional divisions.

In the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC), the gravimeter calibration through the National Absolute Gravimetric Stations Network (RENEGA) occurs. The activity will take place throughout the week in several cities. Fieldwork for Botanical Collection also takes place in Bahia, from Monday to Friday.

State Superintendencies

At the Santa Catarina State Superintendency (SES SC), on Monday (15), at 8 am, the 3rd Meeting of the Videira Development Council will be held to update the economic plan for the city of Videira.

Also on Monday, at 9 am, the Bahia State Superintendency (SES BA) holds a meeting with the president of the Mario Leal Ferreira Foundation, from the Salvador City Hall.

On Tuesday (16th), at 4 pm, at the Espírito Santo State Superintendency (SES ES), the monthly online meeting of group 5 of the Integrated Geoinformation Production Sections (SPIG-G5) will begin, with representatives from Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais and the Federal District.

On Wednesday, at 8 am, at the State Superintendency of Piauí (SES PI), a round of meetings will be held with rural unions on the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production.
