National Index of Civil Construction changes 0.15% in April

Published by the IBGE, the National Index of Civil Construction - Sinapi changed 0.15% in April, standing 0.31 percentage points below the rate in the previous month (0.46%). The result of the last 12 months stayed at 5.07%, below the 5.39% recorded in the immediately previous 12 months. The index was 0.46% in April 2016.

Having closed March at R$1,037.96, the national cost of construction per square meter rose to R$1,039.54, being R$534.41 relative to materials and R$505.13 to labor force.

The share relative to materials changed 0.04%, very close to the rate registered in the previous month (0.06%). The share relative to labor force changed 0.28%, dropping 0.62 percentage points in relation to the previous month (0.90%).

From January to April, the cumulative figures were: 0.61% (material) and 1.83% (labor force), whereas, in 12 months, they were: 1.45% (material) and 9.21% (labor force).

 

Northeast Region records biggest monthly change

Having recorded 0.47%, the Northeast Region posted the biggest regional change in April. The figures in the other regions were: 0.01% (North), 0.02% (Southeast), 0.05% (South) and 0.02% (Central-West).

The regional costs per square meter rose to: R$1,052.37 (North); R$964.77 (Northeast); R$1,086.17 (Southeast); R$1,074.48 (South) and R$1,042.27 (Central-West).

 

Paraíba records the highest increase

Paraíba (2.63%) was the state with the highest monthly change, due to the pressure exerted by the salary adjustment of the collective work agreement.
