National Index of Civil Construction changes 0.22% in November

The National Index of Civil Construction (Sinapi), estimated by IBGE in partnership with CAIXA, recorded a change of 0.22% in November, dropping 0.12 percentage points in relation to October (0.34%). Considering the period from January to November of 2012, the rate of 5.23% is below that of the same period a year ago, when it was at 5.52%. The result of the last twelve months was 5.36%, below the 5.51% rate recorded in the immediately previous twelve months. In November of 2011, the rate was 0.37%.

The national cost of construction per square meter, which in October closed at R$ 850.06, moved to R$ 851.96, in November: R$ 452.14 relative to materials and R$ 399.82 to labor force.

 

Labor force registered a change of 0.24%, shrinking 0.18 percentage points in relation to the previous month (0.42%). Materials also recorded a drop, with a negative difference of 0.06 percentage points, coming from 0.27% in October, to 0.21% in November. In the year, labor force rose to 10.05%, whereas materials registered 1.30%. The accumulated indexes in twelve months were: 10.05% (labor force) and 1.52% (materials).

 

Southeast region registers the greatest monthly change: 0.35%

 

Pushed by the complement of the wage increase in Espírito Santo in the previous month, the Southeast region, with a high of 0.35%, recorded the greatest regional change in September, followed, in a descending order, by: the Northeast region (0.19%), the North region (0.15%), the Central-West region (0.08%) and the South region (0.07%).

 

The regional costs, per square meter, were:  R$ 870.51 (North); R$ 797.69 (Northeast); R$ 885.47 (Southeast); R$ 864.79 (South) and R$ 863,39 (Central-West).

 

As for the accumulated indexes, the South region stood out with the largest change in the year (7.60%), as well as the highest change in the last 12 months (7.79%).

 

Change of 3.40% brings Roraima to the top among the Federation Units

The state of Roraima recorded the largest monthly change (3.40%), influenced by salary increases following a collective work agreement.
