February 24, 2017 09h21 AM | Last Updated: January 22, 2018 12h01 PM

The IBGE releases today the figures for Brazil and Federation Units of the per capita household earnings related to 2016, based on information of the Continuous National Household Sample Survey - Continuous PNAD and delivered to the Brazilian Court of Audit. This release addresses Complementary Law no. 143/2013, which established the new criteria for sharing the State and Federal District Revenue Sharing Fund - FPE. More information on this survey can be found here.

Household earnings are obtained from the sum of earnings from labor and other sources earned by every dweller in the reference month of the survey. Per capita household earnings is the division of the household earnings by the total number of dwellers. These earnings are computed for every Federation Unit and for Brazil, always considering the figures expanded by the annual weight of the survey.
