Soybeans were the only product which increased the volume in stock (2.6%)

Concerning products in stock on December 31, 2015, corn grain registered the highest volume (10.1 million metric tons), despite the drop of 9.5% in comparison with 12/31/2014. This reduction in the volume in stock is directly related to the increase in exports.

Wheat grain was the product which obtained the highest percentage drop (-25.1%) in the volume in stock, reaching just 4.4 million metric tons. Crops were stricken by excessive rainfall in the South Region, which concentrates 90.0% of the national output.

Soybeans were the only product which increased the volume in stock (2.6%), resulting in a stock of 3.2 million metric tons. The volume in stock of paddy rice was of 1.9 million metric tons, a reduction of 9.5%. The national output was of 12.3 million metric tons, practically the same of the previous year. Total coffee beans had another reduction in stock: this time 16.7%. The stock in 12/31/2015 was of 1.1 million metric tons. The droughts that affected the Brazilian production in the latest years reduced coffee stocks.
