IBGE Schedule for August 18 to 22 available now

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (18) the IBGE Schedule for the week of August 18-22. The document covers internal and external meetings, events, and appointments of the various areas of the Institute, including the Presidency, the Directorates and Advisory Boards, the State Superintendencies, and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).
Since last year, the IBGE Schedule has been released every Monday at 9:00 am and covers the activities for the coming days, starting on the date of publication. Check out the complete schedule of the Institute on the IBGE Schedule news channel.
Presidency
On Monday (18), at 10:00 am, representatives of the Presidency will attend the opening of the Mozambique Technical Mission at the IBGE headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. At 11:00 am, the Presidency team will participate in a meeting with a representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Brazil.
On Tuesday (19), at 3:30 pm, members of the Presidency will participate in the inauguration ceremony for the new facilities of the Attorney General's Office in Rio de Janeiro.
On Wednesday (20), at 9:30 am, the Presidency team will participate in a follow-up meeting with the Operational Database (BDO) team. At 2 pm, representatives of the Presidency will participate in a meeting on the 12th Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquaculture Census with representatives of the State Superintendencies.
On Thursday (21), at 9 am, members of the Presidency will participate in a meeting of the Technical Committee of Reference Centers in Africa with the National Institute of Statistics of Mozambique. At 4 pm, the Presidency team will attend a special seminar to welcome new staff members: National Statistical Systems and SINGED.
On Friday (22), at 2:00 pm, the Presidency team will participate in a meeting of the Training Working Group for the 12th Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquaculture Census.
Directorates and Advisory Boards
On Monday (18), at 8:30 am, professors from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will attend the 15th Annual Workshop on Research Methodology. At 9:00 am, representatives from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in a meeting on the Central Register of Enterprises (CEMPRE) with a team from the Superintendency for the Development of the Northeast (SUDENE). At 10:00 am, the DPE team will participate in a meeting of the UN Working Team on Scanners.
Also on Monday at 6:00 pm, the Executive Directorate (DE) team will participate in a meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) and the Ministry of Planning and Budget (MPO) on temporary hiring.
On Tuesday (19), at 2:00 pm, representatives of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will offer a Training Workshop on BDiA for new servants. At the same time, ENCE professors will participate in the doctoral thesis committee at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
On Wednesday (20), throughout the day, representatives of the DPE will participate in the 2nd National Meeting of the Labor Observatory Network.
On Thursday (21), at 10:30 am, members of the DPE will participate in a meeting on the New National Education Plan (PNE). Throughout the day, representatives of the DGC will conduct the 1st Technical Workshop on the National Voluntary Goals of the LDN.
State Superintendencies
On Monday (18), at 8:00 am, a team from the Minas Gerais State Superintendency (SES/MG) will participate in a workshop on artificial intelligence-based methodologies for extracting geographic features and editing topographic maps at a scale of 1:25,000. At 8:30 am, a team from the Bahia State Superintendency (SES/BA) will visit the RADAM-IBGE Herbarium to produce photos and promotional materials.
On Tuesday (19), at 8:00 am, a team from the Minas Gerais State Superintendency (SES/MG) will conduct a technical visit to the Institute of Geosciences at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
