2022 Census:IBGE releases composition of housing units and reported deaths at Casa Brasil IBGE

On October 25, at 10 am, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release the results of the 2022 Population Census: Household composition and reported deaths: Population Results. The event will be held at Casa Brasil IBGE, on the ground floor of the Palácio da Fazenda, located in downtown Rio de Janeiro (RJ). It will be broadcast on IBGE digital and the Institute's social media.

Starting with this publication, the IBGE will bring information on occupied private housing units, either permanent or improvised, accounting for the number of residents, type of household and type of housing unit. Moreover, data will be available by sex, color or race and age group of the head of household.

In addition, the Institute will also present the number of deaths between January 2019 and July 2022, of persons who had lived with residents of private housing units. The survey scope covers Brazil, Major Regions, Federation Units and Municipalities.

Information will also be available on the IBGE Digital channel, on the IBGE website and on the Institute's social media channels. Results can be accessed on the IBGE website and on platforms such as SIDRA, Census Overview and Interactive Geographic Platform (PGI). On the latter two, results can be viewed via interactive maps.
