Closing session of IBGE Conference on the Digital Era scheduled for tomorrow, August 02

The IBGE National Conference of Data Producers and Users, which gathers speakers from Brazil and abroad, besides technicians from the Institute, will end this Friday, August 02, with presentations of reports on the working group and round table discussions.
The event, which has been held at the Maracanã Campus of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) since July 29, has as its topic “National Sovereignty in Geosciences, Statistics and Data: risks and opportunities for Brazil in the Digital Era”.

Schedule of the closing session:
8 am - 9 am – Registration
9 am – Thank-you talk by the President of the IBGE, Marcio Pochmann, and a talk by the Rector of UERJ, Gulnar Azevedo
9:40 am – Presentation of general reports by IBGE directors:
- Marcos Vinicius Ferreira Mazoni, Director of Information Technology (DTI)
- Elizabeth Belo Hypólito - Director of Surveys (DPE)
- Ivone Lopes Batista – Director of Geosciences (DGC)
- Paulo de Martino Jannuzzi - Coordinator-General of the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE)
- Jose Daniel Castro da Silva - Coordinator-General of the Center for Information Dissemination and Documentation and of the Social Communication Coordination (CDDI CCS)
