IBGE releases schedule for July 8-12

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (8) the schedule for the week of July 8-12. This edition includes IBGE commitments, internal and external meetings, as well as events and appointments from several IBGE areas, from the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies to the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (8), at 10am, an ENCE team participates in an on-line meeting of the Qualitative Survey of the Cash Directly at School program. At 11am, representatives from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) take part in the Third Meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Statistics of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). During the entire day, representatives from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participate in an on-line event to discuss on population indicators (RIPSA).

On Tuesday (9), at 9am, representatives from the Executive Directorate (DE) take part in an internal meeting of the Technical Committee of the Census of Agriculture. At the same time, DGC representatives participate in a meeting on the Methodology of the Sea GDP. At 2pm, DPE representatives take part in a meeting on the Methodology of the Sea GDP with the Ministry of Planning and Budget (MPO). At 2:30pm, an ENCE team participates in an ordinary meeting of the research group on statistics literacy.

On Wednesday, at 10am, DGC representatives take part in the meeting Expo Slums and Urban Communities (FCU), with representatives from the Slums Museum. At the same time, the Coordination of Social Communication (CCS) carrries out the on-line press conference of the Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA). At 2pm, an ENCE team participates in a meeting of the Managing Committee of the National Network of Mental Health (RENASAM).

On Thursday (11), at 7am, a DPE team takes part in a meeting of the United Nations (UN) task team in scanner data. At 10am, the CCS carries out the on-line press conference of the Monthly Survey of Trade (PMC). At 2pm, a DPE team participates in a meeting on the Pre-event of the IBGE and the United Nations International Chidren´s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) on the G20. At the same time, DE representatives participate in the working group Lessons Learned 2022 Population Census.

Still on Thursday, at 1pm, ENCE representatives take part in a meeting with Data Pop Alliance organization on projects of statistics literacy. At 2pm, a DGC team particpates in a meeting of the Managing Council of the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of Ribeirões do Gama and Cabeça de Veado. At the same time, ENCE launched the Brazilian edition of an international poster contest at the Orlando Villas Boas School.

On Friday (12), DPE representatives take part, all day long, in a meeting of the United Nations PET Laboratory. On the same day, a DPE team participates, all day long, in an on-line event to discuss on population indicators (RIPSA). At 10am, the CCS carries out the on-line press conference of the Monthly Survey of Services (PMS). At 1pm, a DGC team takes part in a meeting of the UN-GGIM: Americas. At 2pm, a team of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI) participates in a meeting on the IBGE photograph archive with officers from the National Library.

State Superintendencies

On Monday (8), at 10am, the State Superintendence of Brasília (SEs-DF) hosts a mini-course of IBGE tools to advisors of the office of representative Simone Marquetto.

On Tuesday (9), at 10am, SES Piauí (SES-PI) hosts a workshop on sizing workforce. At 1pm, SES Roraima (SES-RR) hosts a webinar on the People Development Program to provide more information related to the Surveying of Development Needs (LND).

Still on Tuesday, at 1pm, SES Sergipe (SES-SE) hosts a meeting with a team from the Sergipe Observatory of the Special Secretariat of Planning, Budget and Innovation.

On Wednesday (10), SES Alagoas (SES-AL) hosts a meeting with the head of the Information Dissemination Supervision (SDI) and the President of the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy of Alagoas (CREA-AL). At 2pm. SES São Paulo (SES-SP) hosts a meeting with the Municipal Council of Rural Development.
