The IBGE schedule is available for April 22-28. This edition brings the releases, internal and external meetings, actions and appointments of the IBGE Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

On Monday (22), at 10 am, the Presidency will participate in an interview on G20 with the weekly magazine Carta Capital, and, at 11 am, in a meeting with the National Agency of Electricity (ANEEL), about SDG 7, about access to different sources of energy, mainly the renewable, efficient and clean ones.

On Tuesday (23), at 9 am, the Presidency will travel to Brasília to join the 4th regular meeting of the Social Participation Council, and, at 11 am, they will join a meeting with the President of the National Association of Directors of Federal Higher Education Institutions (ANDIFES) AND Provost of the University of Brasília, Márcia Abrahão. At noon, a meeting will take place at the Attorney’s General Office (AGU).

Also on Tuesday, the presidency will join a meeting with the Observatory for the Environment and Climate Change of the Judicial Branch and with the Nacional Council of Justice. And, at 4:30 pm, a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take place.

On Wednesday (24), at 10 am, the Presidency will be interviewed by the G20 website. On the same day, at 11 am, the Annual Socioeconomic Report on Women (Raseam 2024).

On Thursday (25), at 2 pm, a workshop on Correctional Maturity will take place., and, on Friday (26) at 3:30 pm, an internal meeting with the representatives of the Directorate of Surveys about the SDG project.

IBGE Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (22), during the day, the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) team will participate in an external meeting with the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB). On the same day, they will be attending a discussion about health indicators with the Inter-Agency Health Information Network (RIPSA). At 9 am, the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) team will meet with the Secretary for Planning of the State of Sergipe and the Subsecretary for Regional Development, to speak about a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT). And, at 2 pm, they will meet representatives of TerraClass Brasil. At 9 am, a team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will join the Committee for the Program on the 8th Conference on Big Data.

On the 23rd, Tuesday, at 7 am, a team from the Geosciences Directorate will meet with the Working Group on Geospatial Information and Services for Disasters, a segment of the Integrated Geospatial Information Network. At 9h, the meeting will be on the use of Earth observation data in agricultural statistics (Task Team of the UN Big Data Hub).

On Wednesday (24), a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will take part in the online workshop on Conceptualization of the National Secretariat for Peripheral Areas (SNP) about Map of Peripheral Areas. They will also attend a Seminar at Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), on the paths for safe energetic transition. At 10 am, a meeting will take place of collaboration between the IBGE and the World Bank.

On Thursday (25), at 9am, the Executive Directorate (DE) team will meet with members of the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) to discuss the second step of the test for researchers. And the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in the 4th Online Meeting of the inter-ministry workgroup (GTI) for diagnosis and monitoring of the homeless population. At 2:30 pm, there will be a meeting about the National System of Costs and Indexes of Construction (SINAPI) with a team from the Standardization Department of CAIXA, the agenda of which consists of extensive collection and user’s questions about Paving stones and Scaffolds.

Also on Thursday, at 10 am, there will be an online press conference for the release of Continuous National Household Sample Survey: Food Security 2023, at the Social Communication Coordination (CCS). The Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will join, at 11 am, a discussion about measures for spatial access. The II Meeting of the Joint Working Group on Environmental Statistics (ECA-CEPAL). At 4 pm, they will take part in the online meeting about the Copernicus Programme in Latin America, Caribbean and Chile.

On Friday (26), a team from the National School of Statistical Science (ENCE) will meet with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), to discuss finances.

State Superintendencies

At the State Superintendency in Bahia (SES BA), on Tuesday (23), at 9 am, a meeting will be held with Mário Leal Ferreira Foundation (FMLF), to discuss data collection to delimitate areas in Salvador characterized as Favelas and poor Urban Communities. And on Thursday, at 8:30 am, there will be a presentation about data on labor market for women, during the launch of the Women’s Booklet, within the First Job Program (PPE), of the Family Health State Foundation (FESF-SUS).

At the State Superintendency in Bahia, on Wednesday (25), a meeting will take place, with the Secretariat of Education of Japaratinga (AL), about IBGE Educa. On Thursday, at 9 am, the 1st Meeting of Agricultural Statistics (REAGRO) in 2024.

On the same day, at the State Superintendency in Ceará (SES CE), there will be a presentation about IBGE Educa and the cartography department at Escola de Ensino Médio em Tempo Integral / Full Time High School Units (EEMTI) Ayrton Senna da Silva.
