The IBGE Schedule for March 11-17 is now available. It presents the meetings and events for the week, including releases and the activities that will be held in and out of the Institute. Also listed are the appointments of the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies and of the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

On Monday, March 11, at 10 am, President Marcio Pochmann will attend the installation ceremony of the Director of Surveys (DPE), Elizabeth Hypolito, and the Director of Geosciences (DGC), Ivone Batista, at the auditorium of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI). At 2:30 pm, Marcio Pochmann will join a meeting with the Governance Group for the National SDG Commission da (CNODS). On Tuesday (3/12), at 9 am, the president will deliver the inaugural lesson the Economic Sciences Major at the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), and, at 2 pm, he will participate in the 2024 Lecture Series on Integrity - a webminar on the challenges of faced by women in their search for equity and inclusion of diversity.

On Wednesday, March 13, at 10:30 am, Mr. Pochmann will meet with members of the Labor Prosecutor's Office (MPT). At 11:45, he will attend a lecture at SEBRAE/SP (Brazil’s Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises). At 4 pm, the president will have a meeting about the partnership between the IBGE and FAO (UN Food and Agriculture Organization) to discuss statistical training. Also on Wednesday there will be the 5th Meeting of the V Meeting of the Forum of Economic Affairs Departments.

Other Directorates and Superintendencies

On Monday, March 11, at 8 am, members of the IBGE Superintendency in Roraima will meet with the President of the Union of Civil Construction Companies in the State, and the staff will pay tribute to women to commemorate the International Women’s Day. On the same day, at 4 pm, at the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) there will be the opening lesson for the Graduate Program at the Teixeira de Freitas Auditorium (CDDI), which will be attended by President Marcio Pochmann and the Director of CDDI/CCS, Daniel Castro. And, from Monday to Friday, at the Superintendency of Goiás, the Registry Update of PeNSE will take place, in preparation for the start of data collection in April.

On March 12, at 9 am, Social Communication Department (CCS) will host the Online Press Conference about the Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA/INPC) of February 2024. And, at the Superintendency of Paraíba, the Superintendent and the Head of the Census Mapping Department will meet with the President of the Legislative Assembly of Paraíba and with the President of EMPAER to discuss Municipal Boundaries.

On the same day, at 11 am, members of the Geosciences Directorate (DGC) join the Meeting of the Workgroup on Environmental Statistics for the Economic Commission for Latin America (CEPAL). At 2:30 pm, a meeting with the Navy for the presentation of boundaries of the Coastal/Marine System Integrated to the Blue Amazon boundaries. At 5 pm is the Presentation of Rural, Urban and Nature Classification for the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

On Wednesday (13) at 9 am, at the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will host the International Seminar of Sociotechnical Innovation in Manufacturing. At 10 am, professionals from the Executive Directorate (DE) will join the Ministry of Management and Innovation in a meeting about the Dimension of Workforce. And at 1:30 pm, the team from the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI), will take part in a meeting with the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) of Colombia.

On Thursday (14) at 9 am, the Social Communication Department (CCS), will host the online Press Conference about the Monthly Survey of Trade (PMC). On the same time and day, representatives of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will have a meeting with specialists from TIC-EMPRESA 2023, in São Paulo and at 11 am DPE will discuss SEMIANNUAL PINTEC, online with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and with the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI).

Still on Thursday, at 2 pm, at the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC there will be a meeting with the National Water and Sanitation Agency (ANA) on a Technical Cooperation Meeting. And at the Superintendency of Bahia there will be the 7th Week of integration UNEB - “The Recôncavo Area is our identity”, at 9h and the Regular Meeting of the State Management Committee of the Social Plan on Vital Statistics and Basic Documentation, at 2:30 pm.

On Friday, at 9 am, the Social Communication Department (CCS) will host the online `Press Conference about the monthly Survey of Services (PMS). At 10 am, the Executive Directorate team will join the Forum of Integrity Instances with the Ministry of Planning and Budget (MPO) and associated entities. At 11 am, members of the Directorate of Geosciences will participate in an event abroad with the Expert Group on the Integration of Statistical and Geospatial Information.
