IBGE releases agenda from February 26 to March 3

Released today (26) at 9 AM, the IBGE Agenda brings the IBGE´s activities for this week. This edition includes releases, internal and external meetings, trainings and appointments of the Presidency, Board of Directors and Coordinations, State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) between February 26 and March 3, 2024.
Since January 29, the IBGE has released the IBGE Agenda to the public every Monday at 9 AM. Aiming at creating a channel with the Executive, Judiciary and Legislative Powers, authorities and public managers, the IBGE Agenda also provides the society with the access to the IBGE work in Brazil and abroad.
Between February 26 and March 1st, Marcio Pochmann, President of the IBGE, Elizabeth Hypolito, Director of Surveys, Claudio Stenner, DGC´s Representative, and Andrea Diniz, ENCE´s Representative, will take part in the 55th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission and Side Events, in New York.
Between February 26 and March 1st, at 8 AM, ENCE representatives will take part in the “Literacy in Futures and Social Foresight, with Professor Felipe Koch”, at the UFRJ´s Brazilian School of Higher Studies. At 4 PM, representatives from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will take part in a joint meeting with representatives from IPEA to develop the National Voluntary Report (RNV) on the 2030 Agenda´s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On the same day at 5 PM, the IBGE State Superintendence of Amapá (SES-AP) will meet the State Secretariat of Education to discuss the National Survey of School Health (PeNSE).
The Executive Directorate´s (DE) team meets the National Unified Public Tender Committee on February 27 at 9 AM. On the same day and time, The State Superintendence of Maranhão (SES-MA) will present the IBGE surveys and a mini workshop on the use of SIDRA, aimed at the technical staff of the SEBRAE-MA´s Business Unit, at the Sebrae´s Multi Center (São Luís).
Also on 27, at 8:30 AM, the State Superintendence of Rio Grande do Sul (SES-RS) will take part in the 11th Official Opening of Corn Harvesting in Rio Grande do Sul, in the municipality of Santa Vitória do Palmar (RS). At 9 AM, officers from the State Superintendence of Mato Grosso (SES-MT) and from the Federal University of Mato Grosso will take part in a presentation on Geographic Coordinates of Addresses, at the SES-MT´s auditorium. At 2 PM, the State Superintendence of Ceará (SES-CE) will take part in a presentation at the SBT, aimed at the Updating of Slums and Poor Urban Communities of Caucaia.
Representatives from the Executive Directorate (DE) will take part in the IBGE´s National Meeting on Human Resources on February 28, at 10 AM. The team of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination/Coordination of Social Communication (CDDI-CCS) will take part, at 10:30 AM, in the meeting among GERI, SES-PE and Ricardo Brennand Institute on the launching of the Brazil in Figures publication.
Also on 28 at 1 PM, a meeting will take place in the State Superintendence of Espírito Santo (SES-ES) between the team of the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA) of Vila Pavão and the Espírito Santo´s Institute of Surveying, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Incaper) to articulate the development of the survey. The meeting will be held at the local office of Incaper. On the same day, at 3 PM, officers from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will take part in the National Seminar of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing of the Semiarid, in Recife (PE).
Among the activities this week, on March 1st a team of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will take part, at 8 AM, in a meeting on “Gender Statistics: Social Indicators for Women in Brazil 3rd Edition.” At 9 AM, the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will release the book PDDE Assessment at the FNDE, in Brasília.
