Last days to enroll for ENCE´s Distance Learning courses on IBGE and Sidra

Enrollment for two ENCE/IBGE courses, Extracting IBGE information (up to June 13) and SIDRA (up to June 27) will close soon. The courses are offered free of charge as self-instructional Distance Learning. They are open to any interested person and provide a certificate of completion. The course Extracting IBGE Information is open until June 13 and can be completed until July 11. Participants will learn concepts that guide the culture geared at the use of data for extracting information, as well as different possibilities of extraction made available by the IBGE.
The course SIDRA is open until June 27 and can be completed until July 25. One trained, participants will be able to carry out basic actions in the IBGE System of Automatic Recovery (SIDRA), like researching, mounting charts, obtaining rankings, accomplishing downloads and generating graphs and cartograms. For a better exploitation, the course Extracting IBGE Information should be attended firstly.
The course SIDRA was developed by the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), the academic arm of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The course Extracting IBGE Information was developed by ENCE in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN agency in charge of formulating and monitoring policies and programs on population and development.
