Triple International Forum starts this Wednesday (11), at the Events Center of Ceará, West Pavilion, Gate C

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), in cooperation with the State Government of Ceará will open, this Wednesday (11), the Triple International Forum on Global South Governance - New indicators and strategic themes for development and sustainability in the Digital Age, in Fortaleza, at the Events Center of Ceará (Av. Washington Soares, 999). The schedule is available on the portal of the event.
The event is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Bank of the Northeast of Brazil (BNB), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Ceará Without Hunger, Company of Participation and Assets Management of Ceará S.A. (Ceará Par), Secretariat of Tourism of Ceará, National Secretariat of Youth - General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic and other partners.
Registration will take place from 7 am to 8 am for onsite participants, and entrance is allowed through Gate C of the West Pavilion. The plenary sessions will be streamed online on Digital IBGE, and on the Institute's social media channels Digital IBGE, Youtube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
For three days, Fortaleza will receive the biggest group of statistical agencies representatives from the Global South, including these: confirmed delegations: Angola, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Mozambique, Russia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Uruguay. Besides receiving official delegations, the Triple Forum offers a diverse schedule with more than 100 speakers. The Forum will gather in Fortaleza representatives of BRICS, MERCOSUR and CPLP, in a year of COP 30 debates in Brazil, which will encompass the Amazon biome.
Registration in the Triple Forum is open for authorities, public and private managers, scholars, researchers, professionals and students, as well as entities in general. Besides international and thematic sessions, the Triple Forum will offer technology workshops, including "Public policies in the Digital Era - Mastering IBGE data". All attendees will receive certificates issued by the IBGE.
Triple Forum will organize technical debate
The Triple Forum has the objective of organizing a technical debate (onsite and online), with the opportunity of gathering heads of Nationalm Statistical Officed, authorities, deputies, public and private managers, universities, civil society entities, among others, around the challenges of International Governance in the Digital Age and their impacts on the economies of the Global South.
Somado a isso, destaca-se o fato de que, em 2025, o Brasil preside o BRICS e o MERCOSUL, tendo o IBGE como o representante brasileiro dos institutos de estatísticas desses países. E o Brasil terá agenda especial dedicada a Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa.
They are three strategic forums to advqnce towards proposals and actions on new sovereign indicators and to reflect on key themes for the development and sustainability, in a year that Brazil will host COP 30 (United Nations Climate Change Conference - Conference of the Parties), which will involve the participation of countries from the Amazon biome.
