Triple International Forum will gather a record number of authorities and speakers in Ceará

Highlights
- The Triple Forum is being organized in cooperation with the Government of the State of Ceará and supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and other partners. It will be attended by delegations from more than 30 countries, gathered into three forums: BRICS, the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) and Mercosur.
- A total of 36 panel sessions and 150 speakers have been confirmed. The event structure will have a main plenary session for one thousand attendees, diplomatic rooms, simultaneous and sign language (LIBRAS) interpreting.
- During the Triple Forum there will be the pre-launch of the Regional Report on Human Development 2025 (UNDP), the SDG Health Module and the Statistical Grid.

To discuss Global South governance, the IBGE will gather, between June 11 and 13, in cooperation with the Government of the State of Ceará and supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) more than 150 national and international authorities and experts in panel sessions, diplomatic rooms, joint and thematic panels, at the Ceará Events Center. About the event, the president of the IBGE, Marcio Pochmann, highlighted: “Representatives of national statistical offices will be attending the Forum, coming from different countries including members of BRICS, of Portuguese lanaguage countries, especially the African ones, but also of Mercosur and South American nations directly related to the Amazon biome."
The president also mentioned that the choice of Fortaleza to house the triple Forum is a reference to the first meeting of BRICS heads of state, in the capital of Ceará, in 2014.
Delegations from more than 30 countries, gathered into three forums: BRICS, the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) and Mercosur have confirmed attendance. The event will be streamed online on Digital IBGE.
Participants of the Triple Forum on Global South Governance will have the opportunity to be in contact with high quality discussions about topics such as new development indicators and the sustainability of BRICS, Mercosur, Portuguese language countries and countries in the Amazon biome in the digital age; public policies, social security, environmental indicators, social and geosciences indicators, multilateralism, economic and financial indicators, new technologies, among others.
