IBGE releases Schedule for the week of May 12-16

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (5) a new edition of the IBGE Schedule for the week of May 12-16. The IBGE Schedule brings events, internal and external meetings and appointments of the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, IBGE State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Since January 2024, the IBGE weekly schedule has been released every Monday at 9 am and it includes the schedule for the days following its publication. Check the complete schedule for this week on the IBGE Schedule.

Presidency

On Monday (12), throughout the day, representatives of the IBGE Presidency will travel to China to participate in the Forum CELAC-China; NBS China; Academy of Contemporary Studies; at the Normal University of Hebei, in Shijiazhuang. The event is scheduled to last the entire week.

Also on Monday, at 3 pm, a team from the Presidency will participate in the weekly meeting of the GCE Department of the General Division of Census Operations. At 4 pm, members of the Presidency will participate in the meeting of the Budget and Financial Execution Assessment Committee (CAEOF).

On Wednesday (14), at 9 am, a team from the Presidency will attend an online meeting with the Inter-agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDGs).

On Thursday (15), at 2 pm, members of the Presidency will meet with a team from the General Division of Census Operations to discuss the Schedule of Census Operations.

Directorates and Advisories 

On Monday (12), at 8 am, professors from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will give a course directed to Experts in Public Policies and Governmental Management (EPPGG). At 2 pm, representatives of ENCE will give a lecture about academic and professional path to students at the 6th grade of Colégio Pedro II - Engenho Novo Branch.

On Tuesday (13), at 9 am, professors from ENCE will be speaking at the International Seminar Cetic.br 20 years: data and analyses for an inclusive digital future. At 10 am, representatives of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in a meeting with representatives of Caixa about the National System, of Costs and Indexes of Construction (SINAPI). At 3 pm, a team from DPE participates in a meeting with the Consulting Committee for the 2022 Population Census.

Also on Tuesday, at 4 pm, representatives of the Directorate of Geosciences , representatives of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participate in a meeting about addressing between the IBGE, the National Bank of Economic and Social Development  (BNDES) and the National Secretariat of Peripheries (SNP).

On Wednesday (14), throughout the day, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in a meeting of the CEA/TCU Working Group (of the Brazilian Court of Audit), about the Plan of Action. At 10 am, members of DPE will meet with members of the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) to talk about the partnership between the institutions. At the same time, at the Social Communication Division (CCS) there will be an online press conference on the Monthly Survey of Services (PMS).

On Thursday (15), at 8 am, members of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will attend the 1st Environment Conference of the State Institute of the Environment (IEE), with the topic Climate Justice. At 10 am, there will be an online press conference on the Monthly Survey of Trade (PMC) at the Social Communication Division (CCS).

On Friday (16), at 10 am, at the Social Communication Division (CCS) an online press conference on the Continuous Quarterly National Household Sample Survey (Continuous PNAD).

State Superintendencies

On Monday (12), at 8:30 am, a team from the State Superintendency in Bahia (SES/BA) will conduct a recognition and measurement activity with the SIMCOSTA tide gauge. the activity is scheduled to last the entire week. At 9 am, representatives of the State Superintendency in Alagoas (SES/AL) will give an interview to the radio station Rádio Difusora.

On Thursday (15), at 10 am, members of the State Superintendency in Rio Grande do Sul (SES/RS) will participate in a meeting with representatives of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) about Integrated Production Demands in Geoinformation.
