IBGE announcement: internal actions on dissemination of 2022 Census data

On April 23, two press vehicles released data related to religion in Brazil informing that they were IBGE data. The IBGE informs that, after an internal meeting, it will request a clarification from the vehicles involved on the source of the information, related to a non-disclosed survey, whose data are still under treatment. It was also requested an assessment to the directorate in charge of the IBGE surveys, in order to raise all the possibilities that caused that release.
The IBGE awaits the positioning and answer to these demands in order to, once with the requested information, speak up in due time on what really happened in that episode. An announcement to the society was released on April 23, access here.
