ENCE/IBGE is enrolling for the remote course Geosciences in Practice. With a workload of 20 hours, the course is free of charge, open to anyone interested and provides a certificate of completion. Those interested might enroll up to March 28 on link https://encecapacitacao.ibge.gov.br/ev/course/view.php?id=1069.
Geosciences in Practice is offered as a distance learning and might be completed until April 25. The course was designed to streamline the access to services provided by the IBGE, teaching how to access and apply the data. In the end of the training, participants will know where the spatial data infrastructures maintained by the IBGE are and be able to analyze social phenomena and their relations with the territory, as well as understand how the major spatial data sources might be useful.
The course Geosciences in Practice was developed by the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), the academic arm of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations agency that formulates and monitors policies and programs towards population and development.
