IBGE Schedule: Check the IBGE schedule for the week of January 13-17

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (13) a new edition of the IBGE Schedule for the week of January 13-17. The document includes internal and external meetings, events and appointments of the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, IBGE State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Aiming at contributing to the IBGE transparency, the IBGE Schedule creates a channel with the Executive, Judiciary and Legislative Powers, authorities and public managers, as well as at providing society with the work of the IBGE in Brazil and abroad. Since January 2024, the IBGE weekly schedule is released every Monday at 9 am and includes the schedule for the days after the day it is published. Fifty-two editions of the IBGE Schedule will be released until the end of 2025.

Presidency

On Monday afternoon (13), the Presidency meets the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) and Geledés - Black Woman Institute.

On Wednesday morning (15), the Presidency meets the President of the Brazilian Institute of Economics of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (IBRE-FGV).

Also, on Wednesday morning (15), the Presidency has the monthly meeting with the Inter-agency and Experts Group for the Sustainable Development Goals Indicators.

On Thursday morning (16), the Presidency participates in a meeting of the Technical Advisory Offices of the National Commission for the SDGs (CNODS).

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (13), during the entire day, the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will carry out a meeting on Census Operations with the Coordination General of Human Rights and Enterprises. On the same morning, members of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will be in a presentation of the system that will develop the IBGE´s Household Probabilistic Samples (APONDS) to disseminate sampling data of the 2022 Census.

On Tuesday (14), the IBGE will release the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production, the Harvest Forecast and the Monthly Survey of Industry: Physical Production - Regional on the News Agency.

Still on Tuesday, the DGC will carry out a meeting of the Working Group on Geographical Names as Cultural Heritage. At 6 PM, the Coordinator General of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI CCS), José Daniel Castro da Silva, will meet the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, and the Secretary of Administration, Felipe Santa Cruz.

On Wednesday (15), at 8:30 am, the DGC will carry out the Ordinary Meeting of the 2022 Census Technical Committee. On the same day, the IBGE will release the result of the Monthly Survey of Services (PMS) through an on-line press conference on the portal and on the News Agency.

On the same day, the Executive Directorate (DE) will meet the managers of the Coordination of Human Resources (CRH).

On Thursday (16), at 2:30 pm, the DGC will take part in a follow-up meeting of the Activity of Quality Control of Geospatial Data, carried out in the State Superintendencies of Bahia, Ceará, Federal District, Goiás, Pará and Santa Catarina.

On Friday (17), during the entire day, the DPE will be in a meeting of the UN PET Lab.

State Superintendencies

Between Monday (13) and Friday (17), the State Superintendence of Pará (SES-PA) will carry out, from 8 am to 5 pm, the December´s event of Data Collection and Supervision of the Consumer Expenditure Survey (POF). At the same period and time, it will also carry out event of Supervision of the Economic Surveys, Slaughter, Milk, Vital Statistics, PIM-PF and Survey of Basic Municipal Information (2024 MUNIC).
