IBGE releases 2022 Population Census: Characteristics of housing units, in Vitória

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release, on December 12, at 10 am, the results of the 2022 Population Census: Characteristics of housing Units, preliminary sample results. The event will be held at Instituto Jones dos Santos Neves, in Vitória, Espírito Santo (ES) and will be streamed live on Digital IBGE.
The release will present information relative to characteristics of housing units, such as tenure, material of outside walls, number of rooms and bedrooms; existence of washing machine, besides Internet access in the housing unit.
Data will available for Brazil, Major Regions, States, Municipalities and other geographies having the Municipality as a basis. Information will be disaggregated by color or race and age groups.
On the same day, during the event, the workshop "A territory of information: Potentialities of data in the 2022 Census ” is scheduled for 2 pm. besides technical and operational aspects of the survey, the workshop will present potentialities within the decision-making for managers.

The topics to be approached during the workshop include: what the Census is; figures of the operation; topics investigated; innovations in the 2022 Census; potentialities of data for local managers; tools and forms of access to data; and prospects for new releases.
The results will be available on the IBGE website and on platforms such as SIDRA and the Census Overview.
