The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (28) the IBGE Schedule for the week between October 28 and November 1. The document includes internal and external meetings, press releases, events and appointments of the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

The President of the /ibge travels to Kazan, Russia, to participate in the 16th Meeting of the Head of the BRICS National Statistical Offices. The event is scheduled to last the entire week.

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (28), at 2 pm, an ENCE team takes part in the meeting of the Research Group on Telephony Data and Mobility. At the same time, ENCE´s researchers participate in the meeting of the Climate Changes Indicators using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Project.

On Tuesday (29), at 7 am, representatives of the /directorate of Surveys (DPE) take part in the second 2024 on-line meeting of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Statistical Classifications. At 10:30 am, ENCE´s teachers participate in a workshop of the project of Results and Processes Mapping (MaPR) of Cisterns of the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger (MDS).

On Wednesday (30), at 9 am, an ENCE team participates in an event of the Research Support Foundation of the State of Goiás (FAPEG). At 3:30 pm, members of the Executive Directorate (DE) meet representatives of the Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro).

On Thursday (31), at 7 am, a DPE team takes part in the second day of the meeting of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Statistical Classifications. At 9:30 am, representatives of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participate in a meeting on the implementation of technological solutions acquired from IMAGEM company. At 10 am, the Coordination of Social Communication (CCS) carries out the press release of the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (Continuous PNAD) related to September.

On Friday (1), at 9 am, DPE representatives take part in an on-line follow-up meeting of the Survey of Assessment of Public Services, of the Union Ombudsman (OGU)/Union Controller General (CGU). At 10 am, the CCS carries out the press release of the Monthly Survey of Industry: Physical Production - Brazil (PIM-PF). At 7 pm, ENCE´s teachers speak on Evidence, Public Policies and Artificial Intelligence, at the Schoolf of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo (USP EACH).

State Superintendencies

On Tuesday (29), at 9 am, representatives of the State Superintendence of Alagoas (SES-AL) participate in a bimonthly meeting of the Sectoral Chamber of the Productive Chain of Milk and Derivatives, of the advisory office of the State Secretariat of Agriculture. During the entire day, a team of the State Superintendence of Amapá (SES-AP) travels to Rio de Janeiro (RJ) to take part in the meeting to review the Census Operations Planning.

Still on Tuesday, a team of the State Superintendence of Minas Gerais (SES-MG) takes part in a meeting with the Federal Revenue of Uberlândia.

On Wednesday (30), representatives of the State Superintendence of Paraná (SES-PR) carry out an on-line SIDRA training in the Fedefral University of the South Border, at the Laranjeiras do Sul Campus.

On Thursday (31), at 8 am, the State Superintendence of Bahia (SES-BA) will visit the venue of the release of the 2022 Census on Urban Communities and Slums. At 3 pm, members of the State Superintendence of Espírito Santo (SES-ES) participate in and on-line meeting of the Territorial Base for general orientations.
