The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (21) the Schedule for the week of October 21 to 25. The current edition includes internal and external meetings, events and appointments of the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, IBGE State Superintendencies, and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Since January, the IBGE weekly Schedule has been released every Monday at 9 am. Check out the full schedule for this week on the IBGE Schedule channel.

Presidency

On Monday (21), all day long, a representative of the Presidency will participate in the 15th Meeting of the IAEG-SDGs Group - Inter-agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators, in Oslo, Norway. The event is scheduled to last until Wednesday (23).

On Thursday (24), all day long, the IBGE Presidency will participate in the 16th Meeting of the Heads of the National Statistical Offices of the BRICS countries, in Russia. The meeting will last until the end of the week.

On Friday (25), at 2:30 pm, the Presidency will participate in a meeting to discuss the SDG 12.7.1 indicator, on Sustainable Public Procurement, with representatives from the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), the Comptroller General's Office (CGU) and the Ministry of the Environment (MMA).

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (21), at 9 am, representatives from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will participate in a weekly meeting of the Conab Project with coordinators from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). At 2 pm, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in a meeting about IBGE data and the monitoring of the New Brazilian Industry (NIB) - MEC. Along the day, a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will carry out a Quality Control and Geographic Name Collection Training Campaign in Governador Valadares (MG).

Also on Monday, throughout the day, members of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a Soil Classification and Correlation (RCC) meeting in Manaus (AM) and Santarém (PA). Also throughout the day, DGC instructors will participate in the multidisciplinary fieldwork of the UEG at Recor-IBGE.

On Tuesday (22), at 8 am, representatives of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will attend the meeting of the Economic-Environmental Accounting System (SEEA - CF TC). At 8:30 am, the DPE team will participate in a meeting of the working group on scanner data and UNSD. At 9 am, representatives of the Executive Directorate (DE) will participate in a meeting of the Technical Committee of the Census of Agriculture. At 6 pm, professors from ENCE will teach a class on statistics and public policies at the Institute for Research, Prevention and Studies on Suicide (IPPES).

On Wednesday (23), at 2:30 pm, ENCE professors will participate in a meeting with representatives from the Secretariat of Continued Education, Youth and Adult Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion (SECADI) about training for instructors who will work in the Training on Integrated Actions by the Program of the Collaborating Center for Support to Monitoring and Management of Educational Programs (Cecampe) North.

On Thursday (24), at 7 am, the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) team will participate in a training meeting for the scanner data workstream workgroup. At 1 pm, members of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a meeting with the National Institute of Studies and Educational Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP). At 2 pm, the DPE team will participate in a meeting of the Dissemination Committee on the Mercosur Statistical Plan – REES.

Also on Thursday, the general coordinator of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination  - Coordination of Social Communication (CDDI CCS) will travel to Salvador (BA) to participate in a meeting with representatives of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and the government of the state of Bahia.

On Friday (25), throughout the day, the general coordinator of the CDDI CCS will participate in an event on the development of the Casa Brasil Previdência project, at the headquarters of Senai Cimatec, in Salvador (BA).

State Superintendencies

On Tuesday (22), at 2:30 pm, a team from the São Paulo State Superintendency (SES/SP) will participate in a meeting with representatives of SESC Ipiranga in São Paulo.

On Thursday (24), throughout the day, representatives from the Rondônia State Superintendency (SES/RO) will participate in a lecture by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) about the risks of water shortages to coffee plantations in Rondônia.

On Sunday (27), at 9 am, the team from the Acre State Superintendency (SES/AC) will present PAM 2023 - Cassava Results at the Cassava Culture WG, at the Acre Business Forum for Innovation and Development.
