The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (26) the schedule for the week of August 26-30. This edition includes internal and external meetings, as well as events and appointments from several IBGE areas, from the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies to the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

On Monday (26), a team of the Presidency travels to participate in the Session of the Executive Council of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

On Tuesday (27), during the entire day, a team of the Presidency takes part in the Seminar "Assessment of Population and Housing Censuses of Round 2020 Facing Challenges of 2030 round."

On Wednesday (28), representatives of the Presidency particiapte in the XXIII Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Statistical Conference of the Americas (SCA) of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). The event is scheduled to take the entire day.

On Thursday (29), at 9am, a team of the Presidency takes part in the videoconference of the Technical Committee of the African Reference Centers Project.

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (26), during the entire day, a team of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) takes part in the 14th Annual Workshop on Survey Methodology. Also during the entire day, a team of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in the South Regional Seminar  on the 2nd Brazilian Action Plan to Combat Desertification and Mitigation of Drought Effects, at the campus of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre (RS). On the same day, a DGC team takes part in the Workshop of Acquisition of Continuous Cartographic Base 1:100,000 (Hydrography).

Also on Monday, at 8am, an ENCE team participates in a workshop on Survey Methodology. At 9am, an ENCE team takes part in a meeting with the coordination of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). At 2pm, ENCE representatives participate in a Qualifying Jury at FIOCRUZ.

On Tuesday (27), at 9am, a team of the Executive Directorate (DE) takes part in the Internal Technical Committee of the Census of Agriculture. At the same time, a DGC team takes part in the launching of "Suitability of the Eastern Border of the Coastal-Marine System to the Blue Amazon" in a seminar of the Brazilian Coastal-Marine Management, at the Setentirão Palace (259 General Rondon Street - Downtown, Macapá (AP). At 10am, an ENCE team participates in an event of the National School of Public Administration (ENAP  MaPR).

Also on Tuesday, at 2:30pm, a DGC team takes part in a meeting on the updating of ArcGIS licenses. At 4pm, a DPE team participates in an on-line meeting at the Municipal Education Center for Workers Paulo Freire (CMET) on the DNIT Connection Program - integration in the availability of population data.

On Wednesay (28), during the entire day, DPE representatives take part in the opening of the Situation Room of the Observatory of International Migrations (OBMigra). Also during the entire day, a DPE team takes part in the Working Group Social Relations of Gender and Sexualities (GT RGS). DGC representatives particiapte in a meeting with actors of the Coastal Mapping of Amapá.

Also on Wednesday, at 9am, a DGC team takes part in a meeting with Institute of Technological and Scientific Research of the State of Amapá (IEPA) and the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP). At 2pm, DGC representatives participate in a meeting with the National Secretatiat of Urban Fringes of the Ministry of Cities, on the Map of Urban Fringes and Addressing. At the same time, ENCE participates in a follow-up meeting of the statistical teams of the UNFPA consulting. At 2:30pm, the DGC takes part in the Closing Ceremony of the 4th Edition of the LideraGOV Program.

On Thursday (29), during the entire day, a DPE team takes part in the International Seminar of Strategies to Erradicate Urban Poverty, in Rio de Janeiro. At 2pm, ENCE representatives participate in a meeting with the Global Center of Columbia  University.

On Friday (30), at 9am, ENCE representtatives participate in a meeting on Artificial Intelligence in Public Policies. At 10am, the Coordination of Social Communication (CCS) organizes the on-line press release of the Monthly continuous Natioal Household Sample Survey (Monthly Continuous PNAD).

State Superintendencies

On Monday (26), at 9am, a team of the State Superintendence of Bahia (SES-BA) takes part in a meeting with representatives of the Directorate of Surveillance and ´Health Care of Workers, of the Secretariat of Health of the State of Bahia.

On Tuesday (27), at 9am, representives of the State Superintendence of Amapá (SES-AP) particiapte in the event "The Blue Amazon and the Coastal-Marine System," at the Setentrião Palace, in Macapá.

On Wednesday (28), at 8am, a team of the State Superintendence of Santa Catarina (SES-SC) presents the South Regional Seminar on the 2nd Brazilian Action Plan to Combat Desertification and Mitigation of Drought Effects.

On Thursday (29), at 2pm, representatives fo the State Superintendence of Alagoas (SES-AL) take part in a training of the IBGE System of Automatic Recovery (SIDRA) at the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting (FEAC) of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL).

Still on Thursday, during the entire day, at the State Superintendence of Mato Grosso do Sul (SES-MS), a team speaks about the IBGE to students of the 4th grade of primary education of the SESC Horto School in Campo Grande (MS).

On Friday (30), at 2pm, a team of the State Superintendence of Bahia (SES-BA) takes part in a worhop of IBGE´s Data Recovery to representatives of the State Forum of Education of Bahia.
