IBGE/PB will join seventh edition of the Federative Caravan, in João Pessoa

Highlights
- The IBGE and other forty plus public institutions will participate in the seventh edition of the Federative Caravan, scheduled to take place at the João Pessoa Convention Center (PB), on April 4 and 5 this week;
- The Caravan is an initiative of the Federal government intended to coordinate actions between the three spheres of government, as well as to establish a permanent channel to foster closer relations with each Federation Unit;
- At the IBGE stand, civil servants will clear participants’ doubts about the Institute's statistical and geoscientific production and provide guidance on how to use dissemination platforms available on the internet (website and media channels)
The IBGE will participate in the seventh edition of the Federative Caravan, scheduled to take place on April 4 and 5, at the João Pessoa Convention Center, state of Paraíba. Besides lectures and workshops, the event will offer services and assistance to public managers from the 223 municipalities in the state.
The Federative Caravan is an initiative of the Special Secretariat for Federative Affairs (SEAF) of the Presidency of the Republic, whose main objective is to coordinate actions between the three spheres of government, as well as to establish a permanent channel to foster closer relations with each Federation Unit. In order to reach this objective, it brings Ministries and other federal agencies together in a joint effort for the democratization of essential programs and services.
With the theme: “Union and reconstruction for a new federative relation”, the Project has passed through six capitals since last year: Salvador (BA), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Porto Alegre (RS), Palmas (TO), São Luís (MA) and Fortaleza (CE). The Paraíba edition is the first one in 2024, and the caravan is expected to visit capitals in other Brazilian Federation this year.
Represented by the Superintendency team in Paraíba, the IBGE will be participating in the event to clear participants’ doubts about statistical and geoscientific production, providing guidance on the access to the Institute’s databases and sharing information produced in the 2022 Census and other studies and surveys.
Besides finding out more about the main IBGE information channels, visitor to the stand will receive a bag with freebies: a notebook, a pen, a calendar map, and folders about the Institute ad its surveys, for example, PAM, PPM, Vital Statistic, GDP of Municipalities, PEVS, Quilombola Population, Indigenous Population, Regic, and We are more than 200 million.
