IBGE will release in Florianópolis (SC) new results of the 2022 Census

The IBGE will release, on March 21, at 10 am, at the Auditorium of the Association of the Municipalities in the Great Florianópolis Area (GRANFPOLIS), results of the 2022 Population Census: Aggregates by Preliminary Enumeration Areas – Population and Housing Units, with total figures for resident population and housing units. Another release is scheduled for the same date: 2022 Population Census: Grid of Preliminary Enumeration Areas, which encompasses the files, in digital format, of enumeration areas that represent the Brazilian territory. The event is being supported by GRANFPOLIS, the Federation of Municipalities in the State of Santa Catarina (FECAM), the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and the Intermunicipal Controlling Agency for Sanitation (ARIS).
Enumeration Areas are territory units from data collection in the Population Census. With the preliminary release, the results will be available for political and administrative subdivisions of Districts and Subdistricts, besides allowing the exploration of information in more detail in space. In coming months, the IBGE will proceed with the processes of counting and improvement of the Enumeration Areas grid so that the final aggregates by Enumeration Areas will be released.
The event will be broadcast online on the IBGE website (ibge.gov.br), and on the IBGE social networking channels (Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok).
