IBGE makes weekly schedule available aiming at increased transparency

Since 9 am today (29) the information channel AgendaIBGE (IBGE Schedule) has been available on the Institute’s website. With this initiative, the IBGE intends to establish a communication channel with the Executive, Judicial and Legislative Powers, authorities and public managers, besides enabling society, in Brazil and abroad, to access the material produced by the IBGE.
That will be a virtual space to inform users about the scheduled survey releases, besides meetings held inside and outside the Institute, online broadcasts, actions and events organized by several departments of the Institute, ranging from the presidency to state superintendencies, and including advisory departments and directorates.
AgendaIBGE (IBGE Schedule) will be available every Monday, at 8 am, and will display the list of releases for the following week.
Marcio Pochmann, president of the IBGE, says the project increases transparency of institutional information, programs and debates. ”This is one more initiative intended to make the institution even better prepared to exercise its institutional mission of portraying reality and disseminate information on our production to society.”
