IBGE addresses more than 40 city administrations in the first day of the Federative Caravan

The IBGE hosted more than 40 city administrations of Rio Grande do Sul this Thursday (19), the first day of the Federative Caravan - Rio Grande do Sul, held at the FIERGS Convention Center, in Porto Alegre. The event, which aims at fostering the institutional articulation among federal, state and municipal administrations, continues on Friday (20). 

In its stand, the IBGE addressed mayors, vice-mayors, secretaries and other managers, providing information on its surveys. The municipalities received a kit with information about the IBGE and its surveys and services, including those with municipal data, like the Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM), Municipal Livestock Production (PPM) and GDP of Municipalities.

Beyond mayors, the IBGE hosted authorities like Paulo Pimenta, Head of the Social Communication Secretariat (Secom) of the Presidency of the Republic, and André Ceciliano, Secretary of Federative Affairs. Representatives from other institutions, like the Brazilian Mail and SESI, visited the IBGE´s stand as well. 

“It is being very productive, we are managing to address the society. It is a moment to show the IBGE, to value its brand,” assesses José Renato Braga de Almeida, the IBGE State Superintendent in Rio Grande do Sul.
