Enrollment for more than 200 thousand 2022 Census vacancies finishes today at 4 PM

Enrollment for the selection process of the 2022 Population Census with more than 200 thousand vacancies for enumerators and census agents finishes today (21) at 4 PM (Brasília time). The vacancies are distributed along 5,297 Brazilian municipalities. Enrollment can be made on the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) website, the organization in charge of the selection The enrollment rate can be paid up to February 16. Low-income candidates enrolled in CadÚnico and donors of bone marrow can request rate exemption.
183,021 vacancies are being offered to enumerators. To apply, candidates should have completed primary education. 18,420 are also available for supervisor census agents (ACSs) and 5,450 for municipal census agents (ACMs), both of them requiring complete secondary education. The salaries are R$1,700 and R$2,100, respectively. ACMs manage the work in data collection stations, whereas ACSs, subordinate to the ACMs, have as major role guiding the enumerators during the field work.
The vacancies of census agents have a single enrollment. The ACM vacancies will be offered to the candidates with the best classification in the test. The other will compete for the ACS vacancies, according to the classification order.
Candidates can apply for both selection processes, since the tests for enumerators will be carried out in the morning and those for census agents, in the afternoon.
Candidates should select the area they want to work during enrollment. Those areas may correspond to one or more neighborhoods or to communities. There are more than one thousand specific vacancies for slums (subnormal agglomerates) in four states (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul). The IBGE suggests that the candidates enroll in areas near their houses, since they will be adapted to the work area.
Enrollment rate can be paid up to February 16
Enrollment rate for enumerators is R$57.50 and R$60.50 for census agents. It can be paid up to February 16.
Every selection process for the 2022 Census allows the exemption of the enrollment rate by persons enrolled in the Single Register for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) and donors of bone marrow. The guidelines to request exemption are in the public notice.
IBGE prepared workbook for tests that will be applied in April
The tests will be applied on April 10 in all the municipalities with vacancies. When enrolling, candidates can also opt for making the test in a different place from the one he selected to work. The tests will be applied on-site according to the health protocols against Covid-19 described in the public notice. Candidates who do not follow the protection measures will be eliminated from the selection process.
The tests for ACMs and ACSs will last 3 hours and 30 minutes and those for enumerators, 3 hours. Preliminary results will be released one day after the application of the tests, on the FGV website. The final result is scheduled for May 20.
Candidates for enumerator will take an objective test, of eliminatory and qualifying nature, including 10 questions of Portuguese, 10 questions of Mathematics, 5 questions of Ethics in Public Service and 25 questions of Technical Expertise. The test will be applied in the morning.
Candidates for municipal and supervisor census agent will take an objective test in the afternoon, of eliminatory and qualifying nature, including 10 questions of Portuguese, 10 questions of Quantitative Logical Thinking, 5 questions of Ethics in Public Service, 15 questions of Notions of Administration / Managerial Situations and 20 questions of Technical Expertise.
“The content of the test is described in the public notice. We have also released a workbook of technical knowledge, prepared by the IBGE, so candidates have access to information required to answer the questions about the census operation. The workbook and the IBGE´s Code of Ethics are available on the FGV website,” states Bruno Malheiros, IBGE´s coordinator of Human Resources.
Reimbursement of enrollment rate

Other Census selection process
The IBGE also receives up to February 2 enrollment for another selection process of the Census, with 180 temporary vacancies for census agents of surveys by telephone and 12 vacancies for census supervisors of surveys and coding. The opportunities are for the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. Enrollment should be made on the website of the National Institute of Education, Cultural and Assistance Development (Idecan).
For the position of census agent of surveys by telephone, candidates should have completed secondary education and should have one year of experience in either active or receptive telemarketing over the last five years. The salary is R$998.00 for 4:30 daily hours, adding up to 27 weekly hours, split into three shifts, including weekends and holidays. Enrollment rate is R$20.
To apply for the positions of census supervisor of surveys and coding, candidates should have completed higher education in any area. Enrollment rate is R$41 and the salary is R$4,200 for 40 weekly hours, which may include weekends and holidays, being eight daily hours between 8 AM and 9:30 PM, according to the management.
The tests, with 60 multiple-choice questions, will be applied on March 20 in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. The content is included in the public notice.
IBGE will visit more than 70 million households in 2022
In 2022, nearly 213 million inhabitants, in more than 70 million households, will be visited by enumerators in the 5,570 Brazilian municipalities. The Census will unveil the characteristics of households, ethnic-racial identification, nuptiality, family core, fertility, religion or cult, disability, internal or international migration, education, commuting for study, labor and income, commuting for work, mortality and autism. Carried out every ten years, the survey is the major source of reference for the knowledge of life conditions of the population in all the Brazilian municipalities.
