This is the fifth month in a row of increase in the volume of sales in the retail in relation to 2016. According to the survey manager, Isabella Nunes, 2016 was a very difficult year for trade: "The low comparison basis and the more favorable economic scenario this year has helped the emergence of this consecutive positive rates.

In relation to July, the retail had a drop of 0.5%, after four months of highs. "The overall index followed the tend of most of the groups of products surveyed, which ha also come from positive results and underwent a negative rate this month. However, this kind of adjustment is normal and this year situation is of stability ion margin up tot the moment", says Isabella.
