This Sunday (16), applicants for rthe position of Municipal Census Agent, Supervising Census Agent and Enumerator will take selection tests for the 2017 Census of Agriculture in 4,038 municipalities in all the Brazilian Federation Units.

A total 272,371 candidates have applied for the 17,888 general positions and 52,152 for the 4,838 positions directed for black and brown persons. Only 376 persons have applied as persons with disabilities: “the positions not filled will be replaced for the general group, as stated in the public notice for the test”, explains Rossana Patitucci, IBGE manager of Human Resources.

Preparing a selection process like that brings many challenges. The first one is to create a project and select a company to conduct the process. It is necessary to specify all the services needed, and have a high quality standard in them.

“The operation requires very good logistics by the company in charge, a complex infrastructure for the production and distribution of the material to be used in the tests, and also security and organization procedures to be followed throughout the process" explains Rossana. Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) has been chosen for the 2017 Census of Agriculture.

Rossana also highlights that when enrollment starts, informing society about the tests, attract possible candidates for all the positions offered and clearing all their doubts demands a lot of effort from the organizing company and from the IBGE staff as well.

In the current phase our main worry is to make the location of tests known to more than 324 thousand candidates. “FGV has committed to sending an e-mail to each of the applicants telling them the time and place of the test” says Rossana. The place for the test can is also available here.

Final results will be released on August 31.

A total 54.96% missed the first selection test

The Census of Agriculture tests for the positions of Census Analyst, Administrative Census Agent, Regional Census Agent and Data Processing Census Agent were held on 02/07.

There were a total 111,3375 candidates for the 1,039 positions of intermediate and higher-education, but absences reached 54.96%. Final results will be known on August 10.
