Schedule of IBGE´s 90th anniversary advances and adds up to more than 40 events throughout Brazil

The celebrations of the IBGE's 90th anniversary continue to mobilize units of the Institute throughout Brazil and gain new momentum this week, from June 8th to 12th, with the holding of ten more events spread across four Brazilian Major Regions. The program expands the scope of the celebrations and reinforces the national character of the agenda, which brings together institutional, scientific and social outreach activities.
Among the highlights are the Solemn Act at the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, the “Ence Open Doors” program in Rio de Janeiro, and a series of seminars and institutional meetings in the states of Bahia, Tocantins, Rio Grande do Norte, Mato Grosso do Sul, Acre and Mato Grosso. Activities include public hearings, seminars with local partners and thematic seminars, reaffirming the Institute's role in producing knowledge about the Brazilian reality and promoting citizenship.

The events commemorating the IBGE's 90th anniversary can be followed on the channel Digital IBGE, on the Institute's portal.
Since the beginning of the celebrations, in May, the agenda has been growing continuously, with events held in different states and institutional articulations throughout the national territory. The actions include survey launches, reopening of memory spaces, technical meetings and tributes in legislative assemblies, composing a diverse scenario that values the history, science and future of the IBGE.
The programming is dynamic and constantly updated. The complete 90th anniversary agenda already brings together more than 40 confirmed events and new activities are incorporated as the units organize them.
