In Rio Verde (GO), the census data collection operation is progressing in 14 enumeration areas, where teams of enumerators are gathering information during the pilot test of the 12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry, and Aquaculture.
The municipality stands out nationally for the strength of its agricultural production, driven by high levels of productivity and intensive use of technology.
According to data from the 2024 Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM), Rio Verde occupies prominent positions in the Brazilian grain ranking: it is the third largest producer of corn in the country and the fourth largest producer of soybeans. These numbers reflect the municipality's relevance to national agribusiness and highlight the size of its harvested area.
The local agriculture is characterized by a high degree of mechanization and the adoption of advanced technologies, which contribute to gains in efficiency and productivity.
In this context, the work of the enumerators seeks to capture the diversity and complexity of the agricultural activity in the municipality, contributing to the production of statistics that support public policies and agricultural planning.
