Driven by the largest increase in materials (0.67%) registered in 2017, the National Index of Coinstruction (Sinapi), released today by the IBGE, had the second highest increase in the year in November (0.48%). Meanwhile, the cumulative index in the year was 3.64% and in the last 12 months, 4.15%.

Only two (Paraíba and Mato Grosso) of the 27 Federation Units had a negative rate in relation to materials. Six FUs were even higher than 1%, namely: the Federal District, Alagoas, São Paulo, Sergipe, Mato Grosso do Sul and Piauí.

"What we can really see is that the increase in the share of materials was very significant for November's rate, especially the increase in the segment of steel bars," explains research manager Augusto Oliveira.

Meanwhile, labor force had a relevant increase in the states of Mato Grosso and Pernambuco due to collective bargaining. This index was 0.28% in the national average.

In the overall index, all states had a positive change in November, except for Paraíba (-0.03), which presented stability. The highest increases occurred in Mato Grosso (1.71%) and in Pernambuco (1.31%).

Among the regions, the Central-West recorded the highest increase for the second consecutive month, with a change of 0.94% in November. "The Federal District, Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso presented increases above the national average and took the Central-West to the highest rate in this respect," concludes Augusto.
