In the cumulative result of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year, there was growth in ten of the 15 places surveyed, with a highlight to Amazonas (15.6%). Pará (7.9%), São Paulo (4.8%), Santa Catarina (3.9%), Pernambuco (3.4%) and Rio de Janeiro (3.4%) also recorded increases above the national average (0.3%), while Paraná (1.0%), Bahia (0.4%), Rio Grande do Sul (0.3%) and Ceará (0.3%) completed the set with positive results. In these places, the greatest dynamism was particularly influenced by factors related to the expansion in the production of capital goods, intermediate goods, durable consumer goods and semi- and non-durable consumer goods.

Espírito Santo (-5.5%) and Goiás (-3.2%) had the most intense falls in the cumulative index in the year:the former because of the negative behavior of non-metallic mineral products, mining and quarrying industries and pulp, paper and paper products, and the latter, because of food products. Minas Gerais (-1.7%), the Northeast Region (-0.3%) and Mato Grosso (-0.2%) also had falls.

In the cumulative index in the last 12 months, following the national industry movement (from 3.0% in May to 3.2% in June), 12 of the 15 places surveyed grew, but only eight increased their dynamism compared to May. Bahia (from 0.2% to 1.8%), the Northeast (from -0.6% to 0.3%), Pernambuco (from -0.3% to 0.6%), Paraná (from 2.1% to 2.8%) and Pará (from 9.4% to 9.9%) had the highest rate gains between May and June 2018, while Espírito Santo (from -1.9% to -3.3% %) and Ceará (from 3.0% to 2.3%) recorded the main losses.
