The National System of Costs Survey and Indexes of Construction (Sinapi), calculated by IBGE, changed by 0.26% in September, being 0.02 percentage points above the July rate (0.24%). In the year, the index changed by 5.34%. The result of the last twelve months was 5.98%, and remained stable versus that of the immediately previous twelve months. The national cost of construction, by square meter, which closed August at R$ 1,012.16, was R$ 1,014.80 in September, being R$ 530.97 relativoe to material and R$ 483.83 to manpower.

Material recorded a change of 0.59%, having increased by 0.62 percentage points in relation to the rate of the previous month (-0.03%). Regarding manpower, the change of -0.10% represented a decrease of 0.63 percentage points against the previous month (0.53%). From January to September, the cumulative figures were 2.87% (material) and 8.14% (manpower), and reached, in 12 months, 3.59% (materiais) and 8.69% (Manpower).

Central West Region records biggest monthly change once more 

The Central West Region, with 0.48%, recorded the biggest regional change in September. The other ones presented the following results; 0.33% (North), -0.07% (Northeast), 0.46% (Southeast) and 0.18% (South). The regional costs by square meter were: R$ 1,021.41 (North); R$ 939.23 (Northeast); R$ 1,064.76 (Southeast); R$ 1,036.62 (South and R$ 1,030.18 (Central West).

Roraima records biggest decrease

As a result of the pressure exreted by salary rises resulting from collective agréments, Roraima, with 5.52%, was the state which recorded the biggest monthly change, and was followed by the Federal District (1.59%), due to the effect of a complementation to the collective conventions.
